Terms and Conditions

The payment and operational guidelines for home tuition services are crucial for maintaining a transparent and professional relationship between the consultancy, the tutor, and the client. While specific policies are determined by the consultancy and the individual agreement with the tutor, the following terms outline the standard financial and operational commitments applicable to home tuition services offered through the agency.

Registration Fee

This consultancy upholds a policy of charging no upfront registration fee for tutors seeking to provide their services through our platform. We believe in earning our service charge only after successfully matching a tutor with a client and initiating the tuition process. This commitment eliminates initial financial barriers for tutors. Our core focus is on delivering effective service first, with any applicable service charges commencing only after the successful placement. Tutors seeking highly specialized, personalized support may explore optional premium service tiers.

Commission Charge

A one-time commission fee is applied to each successful tuition placement we facilitate. This charge is equivalent to 50% of the first month’s tuition fee. To streamline the process, we directly collect the full first month’s fee as an advance from the parent or student. Consequently, when we disburse your initial payment, it will be the first month’s tuition fee minus our predetermined commission. This structure ensures the consultancy receives its due for the successful service rendered in connecting the parties.

Fee Calculation

The monthly tuition fee is determined precisely by the number of classes or hours conducted throughout the month. This calculation is based on the rate finalized and agreed upon by the tutor and client at the time of the initial demo class, which may be a fixed monthly fee or an agreed hourly charge. The final amount is strictly tied to the actual number of sessions delivered in that specific month. Following the completion of the monthly tutoring cycle, the calculated tuition fee will be promptly disbursed to the tutor according to the agreed-upon payment timelines.

Cancellation of Tutoring Service

If a tutor chooses to discontinue tuition services for any legitimate reason, their final fee settlement will be accurately calculated based on the total number of classes or hours they have successfully completed up to the date of cessation. However, a critical condition applies: if the tutor prematurely terminates the service within the very first month without providing prior notification to both the parent and the Crazywhiz agency, the fee for that incomplete period will be forfeited. Clear communication is essential for fee disbursement.

Trial/Demo Class

The tutor is required to offer at least one complimentary trial or demonstration class to the prospective student. This introductory session serves a vital purpose, allowing the student and parent to thoroughly assess the tutor’s teaching style, expertise, and overall compatibility before making a commitment. It is important to note that tutors will not receive payment for the time dedicated to any such demo or trial classes conducted during the initial selection and confirmation process, as this is considered part of the onboarding effort.

Preparation/Research

To ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness during paid sessions, the tutor must commit to carrying out all necessary lesson preparation and foundational research prior to the start of each tutoring session. This dedicated, upfront effort outside of class time is crucial for maximizing the student’s learning period during the actual lesson. Thorough preparation ensures that the lesson content is tailored, organized, and delivered without unnecessary delays, thereby providing exceptional value to the student’s educational experience.

Mobile Usage

Tutors are strictly prohibited from using mobile phones during the active tutoring sessions. This rule is in place to ensure absolute focus and eliminate distractions, maximizing the quality of instruction and the student’s learning engagement. The only acceptable exception to this policy is in the event of a genuine and verifiable emergency. Adherence to this guideline underscores a commitment to professional conduct and dedicated educational delivery throughout the lesson duration.

Advance Fee and Transportation

The consultancy does not provide any advance fee payments to the tutor prior to the commencement or completion of the monthly service cycle. Furthermore, the tutor is solely responsible for covering all expenses related to their personal transportation or journey required to travel to and from the student’s location for the scheduled tutoring sessions. Tutors must budget and manage these logistical costs independently, as they are not reimbursable by the agency or the client.

Document Verification

For verification and security purposes, every tutor is mandated to submit a Government-approved photo ID, official address proof, and all relevant qualification documents upon the agency’s request. Additionally, the tutor may be asked to provide references from previous students or parents to validate their experience. The client and/or the tutoring agency explicitly reserve the right to conduct thorough background and reference checks during the tutor selection process to ensure the highest standards of safety and professional capability.

Privacy

The tutor must ensure that they obtain explicit, prior consent from the student or parent before undertaking any form of recording, whether it be a lesson, a video, or an audio recording. This requirement upholds the client’s right to privacy and ensures mutual understanding regarding the use and storage of session materials. Similarly, the tutor has a parallel right: they must also be informed of and provide consent regarding any use of video or CCTV recording systems by the parent or student during the tuition session.

Performance Review

It is a shared and ongoing responsibility for both the tutor and the parent to engage in regular discussions concerning the student’s academic performance, progress, and current standing. These reviews should occur in accordance with pre-agreed timelines. Such open communication is fundamental for collaboratively determining the necessary course of action. This collaborative process may involve adjustments to the learning strategy by the tutor or changes in support provided by the parent, all aimed at optimally enhancing the student’s overall learning performance.

Communication and Concern Resolution

Tutors retain the right to terminate the tuition agreement at any time, provided they give adequate prior notice to all involved parties. All immediate concerns or minor issues encountered should initially be communicated directly to the parent or student for efficient resolution. Should these issues persist or remain unresolved after direct discussion, the tutor is then encouraged to promptly contact the agency for necessary assistance, intervention, and mediation to maintain a productive working environment.

Modification of Tutoring Requirements

In the event that either the parent or the tutor fails to adhere to any mutually modified tutoring requirements that were previously agreed upon, it is absolutely essential for all such unresolved issues to be openly discussed and formally communicated to the tuition agency. This ensures that any necessary modifications to the original terms of service and payment structure can be properly addressed. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, the tuition agreement may be concluded, and the agency will facilitate arrangements for an alternative tutor, if required by the client.
